1.Sell your possessions on eBay. While it may not be a long-term financial
strategy, you can make money by decluttering your home. Items you might
sell include old books, toys, clothing, home goods, electronics,
movies, or family heirlooms that you have no emotional attachment to.
You could also get into the habit of reselling items on eBay that you
picked up at yard sales or consignment shops.
2.Set up a profile on Etsy.com, an online marketplace where artists can
sell their wares, including paintings, clothing, handmade jewelry,
knitting projects, and nearly every type of artistic creation.
3.Open up your home as a daycare center. The job can be stressful, but if
you love working with kids, this is a great way to work from home.
4.Become a freelance writer. Websites like Demand Studios, Suite 101,
Associated Content, and numerous private companies need the services of
talented writers. You may not even need any special training, although
having a college degree in the field you wish to write about can be
helpful.
5.Work with companies that provide products for you to resell, also known
as direct sales. Companies like Mary Kay, Avon, and Lia Sophia allow you
to host parties in your home where you sell their products to your
friends. You receive a percentage of the profits, and sometimes you can
earn free merchandise, too.
